1.14.10

This is our sixth day on the island, I guess you could say. The first five went by fast. Totally focused on finding an apartment, we managed to see some interesting sides of New York. Unfortunately, the camera was dead, and I didn't feel like lugging around my SLR.
Brief recap:
We visited about 40 different apartments, with several different brokers. All brokers are not made equal. It's a tough job, and I don't blame them for trying to sell us really crappy apartments, so I will try not to be too critical of them. But really, we saw some pretty crappy apartments.
For example, we saw one apartment with a floor that was at least a couple degrees uneven. Saw several apartments without stoves, which is common enough I guess here. For all that people eat out, we've noticed the people are surprisingly fit.
Must be all the walking.
So after all this, Libby went to her school orientation, leaving me with a canceled appointment and finally a bit of free time.
