So it's hard to believe that a week ago I was hanging out with our friends back in Utah. It was so good to see everyone--to see what they're doing, how their lives are changing and improving, and to just spend time with these people we love. We miss you guys!
On the other hand, it's been nice to get to know people and make some friends. Lib made the most delicious chocolate cookies tonight and had some new friends from church over. We really have loved getting to know people here.
Talking to Lib about what makes us happy today, I think we realized that, while vocation and self-realization are important among many other factors, being around great people that we esteem and enjoy is really one of life's greatest privileges and joys. Thanks guys!
Mark--nice post. Enjoy all the pictures. Agree with the concept of the importance of others. I'd put it this way--the richness of our lives is, in a major way, dependent on the relationships we're able to cultivate and maintain. Perhaps an overstated way of saying this is that relationships are the fabric of our lives. My point of reference is the physical moves that we've made--leaving friends and relationships behind---very, very difficult. I won't even get into the theme of having children leave home. Love you guys. Dad
