Week 2: Meatpacking district (3 of 3)

Last of the Meatpacking series. This series felt the most 'present-day', with chic lounges and high-end fashion contrasted with the remnants of an industrial area.

This corner was the most interesting to me: I took four shots from the same corner below, same exposure, simply turning the camera. Straight ahead was the graffiti filled wall with the man handing out flyers in front of the Mercedes; 90 degrees to the right was the ice rink in front of the chic restaurant and lounge; 90 degrees more and you see a nice bar underneath the highline railroad; and turning 90 degrees again is a homeless man sleeping under the bridge under the sign of closed meatpacking company.

  2. The homeless shot looks so clean and comfortable--I doubt that was the case. The graffiti also looks clean and well kept--so it is probably doing better than the homeless person.
